Spotify, Deezer, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, which is better? February 2, 2021 by Manoj The music market has been changing for some time now. ITunes has been there, and made us put the CDs in boxes to enjoy dematerialized music.
- Local Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music Payouts. As of late, most of the prominent global streaming brands, from Spotify and Amazon to YouTube Music and Deezer have entered a number developing streaming markets. The global expansion of the market is one of the main trends in the streaming business — and that alone is bound to bring.
- I know one thing. Deezer and Amazon have more. I have at least one album I can't get on Spotify that I can get on Deezer and Amazon.I know there are more. I just signed up to a Pringles promotion for 4 months free Deezer and the email they sent me claims they have 53 million tracks.
Os music streaming services are gaining more and more followers in Brazil. In addition to having simple and user-friendly interfaces, some subscriptions can cost less than R $ 5 per month for the user thanks to family plans that allow the creation of multiple accounts in a single subscription.
It is also worth remembering that these services have the rights to reproduce the songs. This contributed to the fact that users began to make less illegal downloads of entire discographies in download programs.
Another interesting point: it is much less work to subscribe to such a service than to download a song and transfer it to the device on which you will listen to it. In addition to being a way of honoring the work of artists, strengthening the music industry and not contributing to piracy.
But, after all, how to choose the best plan? O Olhar Digital brings a short dossier on the main services of today to help you choose the one that best suits your needs. Check out:

Individual | R$ 16,90 | R$ 16,90 | R$ 16,90 | R$ 16,90 | R$ 16,90 | R $ 16,90 to R $ 29,70 |
Family | R$ 26,90 | R$ 26,90 | R$ 24,90 | R$ 25,50 | R$ 25,90 | R $ 25,35 to R $ 50,80 |
Spotify
Perhaps the best known music streaming app, Spotify offers the possibility for users to use the app for free (with limited functions) or by hiring specific subscriptions that start at R $ 16,90 for the individual plan. College students pay half.
One of the great advantages of Spotify is that the service almost always has interesting promotions that guarantee free use for a certain period of time.
Currently it is possible to enjoy the Premium subscription for 60 days free of charge. In it, the user avoids the advertisements, can download the songs to listen offline and also has the unrestricted use of the application (in the free plan it is not possible to choose a specific song within a given album, for example).
Other than that, the service has already become a kind of social network. You can also follow your Facebook friends in the app and check out what they're listening to in real time. And you can also use the app to listen and download Podcasts, some even exclusive to the app.
Deezer
After a quick registration made directly with the Facebook account, just choose the genres that you like the most (a process that will help Deezer better select the songs that you might like to listen to) and that's it.
An interesting possibility is that the service offers a “fade” option. The effect causes the music to decrease in volume when it is near the end so that there is a lesser sensation of interruption when changing songs.
The Premium subscription costs R $ 16,90 per month (students pay half) and the advantages over the free plan are practically the same as for the paid Spotify plan, but with the difference that the audio is transmitted with more quality in the subscription paid than in the free plan.
Those who are customers of the TIM operator can take advantage of Deezer at a discount: R $ 15,39 per month for postpaid customers and R $ 4,90 per week for pre and control customers. There is also the Deezer HiFi, which uses the technology of the same name to transmit audio over the internet without loss of quality. The plan costs R $ 33,80 per month.

Apple Music
Contrary to what many people may think, Apple Music works normally for Android smartphones. The big difference in relation to its competitors described above is that the service does not allow the user to enjoy a limited version for free.
The good news is that new registrations get three months of free use with the individual subscription. If you are not interested in staying with the services after the promotion, remember to cancel before expiration.
Apple Music also has original programs, shows and exclusive content, as well as a full radio, curated by people, called Beats 1. It is the service with the cheapest family plan among all the options. And, like the competitors, this one also offers “half price” for university students.
YouTube Music
YouTube Music arrived in Brazil in 2018. It comes to take the place of Google Play Music, which remains active. If you subscribe to one, you gain access to the other. And if you subscribe to YouTube Premium, it takes both and also the ad-free version with downloads from the video site.
YouTube Music is divided into three tabs, with personalized recommendations on the first, hot clips on the second, and a library of tracks and artists saved (and downloaded) on the third. The difference is that the service also allows you to transmit only the audio of music videos from YouTube, which makes the catalog even bigger.
The application also offers an option to automatically download a playlist (the Mixtape) with up to 100 songs, updated daily according to the users' musical background and taste.
You can use YouTube Music for free, but with restrictions. It is not possible, for example, to download tracks without paying a monthly fee. In addition, the service in the free version has ads and does not allow listening in the background or with the screen off.
Tidal
Tidal is the music streaming service created by rapper Jay-Z. He arrived in the country in 2015 and today has a partnership with the operator Vivo. Customers can pay R $ 16,90 per month, depending on the payment plan. Students pay half.
Currently, the service brings more than 35 million songs and about 85 thousand HD clips in its collection. Users can access these songs through two plans. The entry plan offers audio in aac format at a rate of 320 kbps.
The plan Tidal HiFi, in turn, allows the user to listen to the entire collection of the website in Lossless format, without compression or loss of quality, for R $ 33,80 per month. Jay Z himself, however, has already stated that the plan is only recommended for users who have high quality sound equipment.
The Family Plan allows up to five people to share a single subscription, which costs R $ 25,35 for the standard package or R $ 50,80 for the high quality version.
Amazon Music
The youngest to arrive in Brazil is the Amazon Music, which debuted in the country in September 2019. It has more than 50 million songs, personalized and curated playlists made up of Brazilian and international artists.
The standard plan costs R $ 16,90 per month, while the family member costs R $ 25,90 and allows up to six people to share the same subscription. Amazon Prime subscribers gain access to 2 million songs from the Music collection.
